World Domination

Hey, I’ve just sold my first ebook in Germany. Only about 6 months after Kindle was launched on the German Amazon site. Still nothing yet for France, Italy or Spain but what the hell, world domination beckons… Or maybe not.

In any case, to celebrate I’m writing a story called ‘Werner Herzog Gets Shot’ which is influenced by the band Get Well Soon.

Congrats on your GE sale! I’ve had a grand total of four so far…

Great story opener too. Look forward to when you next publish something.

Thanks James. I’m quite a way off that at the moment unfortunately. This story is part of a new collection but so far I have one completed and four incomplete. I have to finish those four first and then write about six more at least… The novel is stalled at 25,000 words and I edited chapter one for this Pulp Idol anthology thing which involved cutting half the chapter out in fact. But I still need those details, which means I need to work them into the following chapters. So I’m effectively starting over on what I have done before I write the rest. Ah well, these things take time I suppose.

My best bet is the thesis at the moment. Have a meeting at the uni next week to start talking about finding a publisher for it. Might end up being part of a series like ‘modern american writers volume 37’ or something. But that might involve a load of editing work too so it’s gonna be a while I think. Wish I was as prolific as you and Dan, but unfortunately I seem to work really sporadically. I’ll have to kick myself up the arse more…

Not sure I’m prolific to be honest – just have a backlog of stories I’ve finally got off arse to do things with. Actual new writing this last year hasn’t been as forthcoming as I’ld have hoped…

Dan, however, I suspect, really *is* prolific. The talented bastard.
